Shen Academy is the martial arts school serving Romaine, based at 63A Mount Street in the Burnie CBD — about ten minutes into the CBD. It teaches karate from age 6, boxing from age 7, MMA, self-defence and personal training, and has operated since 1996.

From Romaine, the evening classes usually work better than the 4:30pm junior slot, depending on where school and work sit in the day. Senior karate at 5:30pm and boxing at 6:30pm both give you room to get there.
If none of the class times fit, private sessions are booked by appointment and can be set for a time that does.
